Italy would have beat Brasil. Brasil were shit, very uninspiring to watch. Didn't have the brasilian flavour they usually have, with their movement and passing.

Would you have beaten Portugal? If so, what would that score look like?

I honestlyt think it would have been a boring ass defensive game. I woulkd see a 1-1 or 0-0 and then Portugal victory in penalties. As good as Gigi is, our boy Ricardo would be up to the task.

I really don't see why you would say that... I mean im not taking anything away from italy because they did win the worldcup, but you guys had an easy round of 16 which you almost lost and an easy quarter finals with ukraine.. We had to face a very stong dutch side and a very strong English side.. but it's all over now.. Italy are champs! but portugal will be euro 2008 champs

I like Portugal, because this current Portugal is not complete......yet. You lack a few players, like a decent striker for example.

However if we played, I think it would be close and hard to call.

Italy's defense is light yeats ahead of Portugals. U lack any Pirlo or Gattuso like player, and Pauletta is inferior to just about eveyr striker on Italy.

Consdiering Italy beat the host team 2-0, i wouldn't c a problem with Portugal.

We have our versions of Gattuso and Pirlo. They go by the name of Petit, and Maniche. I still think it would be a tight game. Imagine if we even get our by Jorge Andrade back.

U dont have the same amount of quality where it matters.

Defensively, even with Andrade back, you cant match Italy defensively, since Italy were without Nesta, who if on, would have made Italy's defense even stronger (although Matrix did a very good job). Buffon is untouchable. Italy conceded 2 goals this world cup. A own goal and a penalty shot.

Offensively, Pauletta isn't as good as Toni or Gilardino.

I just said it would be a tight game, Italia would probably edge us out, however we do have stronger wingers, and our rb Miguel is amazing.

light years ahead?

up until the third place game (when carvalho and miguel both didnt play,) Portugal only conceded 2 goals we have a good defense
and we had to play holland and england two teams who can score some goals and are talented.

italy's is better but not light years ahead

carvalho, miguel, andrade are very good defenders
meira stepped up his game and he surprised alot of ppl and seemed to get better as the tournament went on

but Nuno Valente is just garbage, he is the weak link of Portugal's defense we need a better left back.
