If Camo plays he'll want to push forward, the only way it would work is if they play Zambro at left and someone else right; so that Perrotta can fill in for Zambro as he also flies forward. The inbalance of that would worry me against the likes of Argentina but we'll cross that bridge IF we come to it.

Lippi will opt for efficiency no matter the system. It's been a consistent theme throughout his 'reign' as Azzurri coach, especially at the World Cup.

4-4-1-1 Totti, Toni - Confirmed

Luca Toni and Francesco Totti lead a 4-4-1-1 system against the Ukraine tonight, with Mauro Camoranesi returning in midfield.

The system, already used in the 2-0 win over the Czech Republic, had been rumoured over the past few days and this evening the official line-up backed that speculation.

Camoranesi was dropped for the 1-0 victory over Australia, but is back in a supporting role for the front two.

As expected, Palermo youngster Andrea Barzagli starts in central defence alongside Fabio Cannavaro, as Alessandro Nesta is suffering from a groin strain and Marco Materazzi sits out a one-match ban.

Nice, Toni will hopefully do better than Gila and allow Totti to operate further up instead of as deep as the Czech game.

Germany needs some fustration, and not a clean ride to the final. The Azzurri can provide this, not sure about the Ukraine.
