Hope For Vio
Vio Ganea could still figure for Wolves this season.
The striker, who suffered cruciate knee ligament damage during the club's pre-season tour of Norway, has been making good progress since undergoing surgery to the injury over the summer.
Earlier there were fears that the Romanian international could miss the entire season but now, physio Barry Holmes believes the popular forward could be ready to resume training in the new year.
When asked for the best case scenario, Barry said: "We would be looking at getting Vio involved in training in the new year, probably around February time.
"As long as he continues to progress well then I see no reason why Vio couldn't take part in some games before the season is out.
"Unfortunately he is suffering with a flu virus this week and so is staying at home, receiving treatment, but he has been doing very well as far as his knee is concerned.
"We were due to look at doing some running work with him this week but that has obviously been put on hold until he feels better.
"But, once back on track then we are hopeful of him training fully again come February. Then, of course, there are certain factors that would have to be taken into account, such as building up his cardiovascular fitness, his confidence and speed before he could be considered for selection. But, again, if all went well we'd be looking at weeks rather than months from that point."
Meanwhile, George Ndah is preparing for a trip to Germany to undergo intensive treatment from sports injury specialist, Dr Hans Muller-Wohlfahrt. The striker has suffered with a thigh problem over recent weeks.
"George has had a catalogue of soft tissue injuries recently and we have decided to seek the help of Dr Muller-Wohlfahrt over in Munich," said Barry. "George will go there next week for a period of intensive treatment over four or five days and he should then return here and hopefully go back into training."
