Arrow Hessenthaler coy over Watford link

Andy Hessenthaler has admitted that he is keen on a return to league management after being linked with the vacancy at Watford.

The 43-year-old made nearly 200 appearances for the Hornets before leaving the club in 1996 and has guided Dover Athletic to the top of the Ryman Premier league.

He said: "It would be rude to talk about another job, but it is no secret that I would like to return to management in the Football League.

"As far as I am concerned I am focused on my job here at Dover and our next game. We have got a great chairman who is backing me and one day I hope I can take Dover to the Football League.

"The way I would put it is, if we had a player that had a chance of going to a higher league club, we would not stand in their way.

"The fact that I am a former Watford player is probably why my name has been thrown into the hat."
