Hornets may go in De la Cruz control
Watford have handed a trial to former Aston Villa and Reading defender Ulises De la Cruz following his release by the Royals this summer.
The Ecuador wing-back played 45 minutes of the Hornets' 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday and boss Aidy Boothroyd was suitably impressed by the 34-year-old.
"Regarding new signings, I've got a couple of things in the pipeline, but that's just where they are at the moment. Nothing concrete is in place yet," he said.
"We had Ulises De la Cruz playing with us today on trial. He's here for a couple of weeks and he's done well so far. He's got a good pedigree with around 90 international caps for Ecuador."
