Hornets chief prepared to wait
Watford chairman Graham Simpson insists his search for a new buyer to take the club to the next level will take as long as it needs to.
Simpson took over in September 2002 and and will remain in charge until a suitable investor can be found.
But he believes the new buyer will need to invest in the playing squad as well as developing the the club's academy, and he is prepared to wait in order to find the right person.
"The club is run professionally and has two dynamic young men driving it forward, and it seems to me that what we need now is to take it to the next level," he told the club's official website.
"It is crucial to find the right person, however long it takes. Of course we want to get the best value for the company, that is my job, but I will marry that with someone who truly believes in the club and its ethos and who will take it forward."
