Thumbs up Hornets end Ipswich home record

A great win for Watford.

It appears the new signings and the return to form of players are helping us at the moment.

Shittu - Immsense
Bromby - Brilliant in both games
Sadler - very steady left back and his corners have set up 2 goals in last 2 games.
Kabba - Is like a new signing this month.
Eustace - A presence in the midfield. A leader, hardnut, organisation and can put his foot on the ball.
Mariappa - Young defender has also returned to form last few games.

long may it continue. Away from home we are doing wonders and hopefully our home form will pickup

yeh 2 games he has looked quality from us.

His long throw is a great weapon.

Robson doesnt have a clue

Great win indeed.

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton:
"The best team won. They started better, dominated us physically and didn't allow us to play.

"Watford are a good side and any team that finishes above them in the table will get promoted.

"The did a very professional job and we didn't have enough courage in our conviction. We didn't have enough people believing we could win."

last time he used the excuse of us having more money than them eg having Ellington £3m on the bench.

So fair play to him for the good words.

Ipswich fans kept singing 'boring boring Watford'

First half we apparently played some good stuff and 2nd half late on we just managed the game.

We were there to be thumped, so why did you need to time waste from the 2nd half kick-off? Fair do's, better side won, typical inconsistent Ipswich

In the 2nd half we still had chances. Ellington had a header brilliantly saved.

I'm just very happy to be the team to break your home record

Now if Watford start winning games at home should be 2nd at least.

There will be more teams 'managing' the games now.

All the others team who have to visit PR will be watching yesterdays game, noticing that closing down your midfield and letting De Vos & Bruce hoofing it.

We've had it at the Vic this season. Once we got beaten once all the teams played deeped and sucker punched us with counter attacks.

You will probably bounce back alot quicker though.

Ipswich haven't been as strong at home as they have been before this season recently and I expected a soon home loss. I'm not surprised that Watford beat them.

Ipswich 1-2 Watford | Virgin Media Sport | Football | Championship video

2nd goal is a nice passing move.

Yet Ipswich best chances came from long balls.

Jason De Vos:
'I don't think any of the successfull teams in the top flight play that style of footbal'

'It's not for me to be judging anyone else on how they descide to play but I've always believed the way forward is to pass the ball and keep it on the deck'

'Watford have a style of football they play which is effect for them. We believe at this football club that thas not the way forward'

'But you could argue that time will tell and at the end of the season the league positions show whoever's more succesfull gets promoted'
