Boothy: Hiding is on the cards

Aidy Boothroyd has warned Watford's Championship rivals his high-flying Hornets are in the mood to give someone a "really good hiding".

The Hornets are still sitting pretty at the top of the table despite being held at home to Colchester last time out.

Boothroyd is not worried about that result and instead believes that if his players can stay level-headed then they are more than capable of putting a team to the sword.

He told the club's official website: "If we keep playing like we did against Colchester then we are going to give someone a really good hiding.

"But we need to make sure we keep our humility and respect for our opponents; there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

"We are improving but we are not the finished article yet."
