Young Hornet gets England chance
Watford starlet Eddie Oshodi has been called up to the England Under-16 squad for their defence of the Sky Sports Victory Shield.
The young Hornet will have the chance to earn his first cap when England face Northern Ireland at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road on October 11.
Assistant academy manager Mark Warburton told the club's official website: "Eddie has come up through the ranks and he had a fine season last year, particularly after Christmas when he was noticed by England.
"He operates predominantly in the centre of defence but he can play full-back and he can operate in a central midfield role too.
"Eddie has tasted under-18s football already this season. It's a steep learning curve for him, but he can do very well at that level which is encouraging for someone so young."
