Tomorrow night at Roots Hall. I think we'll win whatever the team is, it will be interesting to see whether Boothroyd goes with the first choice team or the kids. I would like to see a similar team (maybe with a couple more first teamers) that beat Gillingham in the last round, that was a very promising performance and I think they could cope against Southend as well.

just fucking glad i decided not to go. i got in tonight and saw we were losing 2-0 so didn't bother listening to the game, how bad were we?

Only played decent for the first 15mins like the first team. Didnt take our chances.

Then we were poor.

Not good at the moment. I nearly went aswell, after there superb performance against Gillingham.

Hornets manager Aidy Boothroyd made a number of changes following the 4-1 defeat to Leicester at the weekend but saw his side slump to another shock defeat. Charlie MacDonald opened the scoring for Southend after 20 minutes and Matt Harrold finished neatly in the 55th minute to clinch the win.
