Arrow Hornets target United striker

Watford are reportedly interested in taking Manchester United striker Dong Fanzhuo on a year-long loan deal.

Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd is keen bolster his attacking options for the new campaign and recent reports indicate he has his sights set on the 22 year-old Chinese international.

Dong is expected to see limited action at Old Trafford this season given the glut of world-class strikers at Sir Alex Ferguson's disposal.

A loan move to The Championship side would probably be the best option for the forward as he seeks regular first-team football in preparation for next year's Olympic Games in Beijing.

If a deal is struck, Boothroyd will be hoping to replicate the success he had when Watford loaned United and England goalkeeper Ben Foster for the last two seasons.
