I like Koegh. He did well. But I thought Shittu had him in his pocket for most of the game quite easily.
Ward was poor, the goalscorer is an obvious threat. Knightly is worse than our wingers in that his crossing is shite.
Your back four is pretty slow Breen and Ward.

Wolves are second favourites for the league. We've beaten them on their ground (which we never do) on opening day (which we also never do). Fantastic result, especially in the way we did it as well. Confidence is going to be high now, which is important as we have a couple more hard games coming up.

Wolves were very sloppy. Sitting deep. Not really threatening. When we got the goal back they were wasting time and kicking the ball away(Bothroyd).
The warning signs were there when King outmuscled that defender when he should of cleared it.
I'm just enjoying the fact that its an opening day win, a win considering the year Watford have had more than anything.
Not going up crap etc from me yet. I'm just very happy as I knew it was going to be a hard game.
I havent felt this good in ages about Watford lol.

Who's Knightly? If you mean Kightly then please don't talk bollocks! I give you credit, you were better than us today, but if you've seen Michael Kightly play regularly you'll know he's possibly the best winger in the league. His crossing is fine. He was poor today but he was carrying a foot injury also.
Your players looked more up for it than ours (and that's an unbelievably rare thing for me to have to say about the opposition because usually we look more determined!).
Anyway I still believe in Super Mick but this does underline the problems I said last week after watching the friendly against Reading - our defence is too poor for a side that has promotion aspirations. Michael Gray was poor last week and poor today so that needs to be adressed. Neill Collins is no right back as displayed with his 'tackle' for the penalty.
Just feel a bit let down really after all the hype surrounding the game, I thought we'd be capable of a draw at least.
Oh well that's football.....Better hope for an assured win against Bradford. Would like to see Freddy start and for us to buy some full backs!
PS does anyone know anything about Luton's full back Kevin Foley? Is he any good? He's been linked to us today and god knows we need strengthening!

I though Priskin was good in the first 20 mins. To be honest he looked the best I ever saw him. Made good runs... was totally in control of the ball. Turned defenders. Flicks with his heel (although he didn't find his team mate)... but then he went back to his usual self.
I'm just guessing here but maybe he loss confidence because his good work didn't result in anything.. I dunno.

He's always looked good Foley. He's a right back.
As for Kightly his crossing was poor today. I thought Gray was pretty decent 2nd half against Smith, but then again Smith hasnt play for a couple of weeks at least and not match fit, but first half he did get the better of Gray alot. Ward didnt look that good but he's a striker.
Your defence did look like it could get exposed pretty easily as there all pretty slow and high line, but our crossing / final ball was terrible today. Plus we were hoofing it alot today.
McAnuff gave that Collins a torrid time first half. Apparently sky commentator said he is left footed?
I thought it was a decent game. 2nd half wasnt great, it was a bit flat you werent really attacking that much you started the 2nd half very slow, we werent that threatening although McAnuff missed a few sitters. At one point I couldnt see a goal coming. Altho we scored from a great move (offside goal). Your goalkeeper is very good he made a few very good saves.
Watford need to get in a winger in quick who can take set pieces because we had soo many for an away side. Over 10 I think. With Henderson, Shittu, DeMerit who are very strong in the air we should be getting some goals. Also he wants another striker in, he will probably keep trying Ellington. But Henderson is a very good striker at this level, defenders find it hard to deal with him.
Keogh will have success against weaker defences. Like him alot.
who impressed you from Watford. Good to get an unbias opinion.

Someone on the Wolves forum called 'Muz':
I think we played for the 1-0. We got the goal and then sat back. We gave them far too much of the ball considering we were the home team. We never looked like threatening for a second until Bothroyd came on and then it was too late. Two stupid tackles lost the game for us, but we should have gone for the 2nd a long time before. Promising signs, but Watford are straight from the premiership and they looked strong and physical, which we couldn't cope with. Their pace also worried our defence.
Aidy:
"Wolves were far better than us for much of the game and you can't brush that under the carpet. We all know there is a lot of hard work to be done.
"From my viewpoint, after the break I didn't think we expressed a winning behaviour. I thought we were far too open.
"On another day we could quite easily have lost that game."
