Priskin aims to bounce back
Watford starlet Tamas Priskin is targeting an immediate return to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old was part of The Hornets' side that were relegated last season, but is now eyeing a long-term stay in the top flight with Adrian Boothroyd's side.
The striker says he is unconcerned with Watford's return to The Championship, and relished the opportunities at his disposal during his side's exploits last term.
"The biggest experience was my first Premier League game, and the other one when we played against Manchester United in the semi-final of The FA Cup," he told origo.hu.
"I think I made a good decision in joining Watford. I'm happy that I signed to one of the strongest football league's on Earth last year."
Priskin made 13 appearances for his side last season, netting four goals in the process, but the Hungarian is aiming to become a regular starter in Boothroyd's starting XI next year.
"First I had to adapt and I didn't get so much time to play but later fortunately I had the chance to spend more time on the pitch," he continued.
"I hope that in the next season, I can be a first-team regular."
Priskin was left disappointed by his side's failed attempts to remain in The Premiership last term, but believes that the long term future for the club is bright.
"I was a bit sad that we couldn't stay in the Premiership but I hope and believe that we can win promotion immediately in 2008 and then stay in there for a long time," he said.
"We always played in front of a full stadium at Watford and, though we couldn't avoid relegation, our fans have been persistent until the very last minute."
