Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd wants to sign Izale McCleod and Jermaine Easter following his sides plummet to the Championship. This will anger Luton Town boss Kevin Blackwell who had hoped to sign 1 of the above Leauge 2 strikers for Luton's League 1 campaign.
It is still more likely that Easter will move to Luton Town.
=v1=

Watford striker Hameur Bouazza will join Tottenham in the summer for £3.7m and is likely to be the player to replace outgoing Egyptian Mido. Bouazza is reluctant to leave Watford as they're the team who has given him his chance in the big time, but he wants to be playing Premiership football every week and the chance to move to White Hart Lane will appeal. Mido is expected to move back to Italy, with Sampdoria and Catania eager to sign him.

Aidy Boothroyd has been on the look out for more back room staff since releasing some earlier this year, expect Teddy Sheringham to be the 1st in over the summer, Aidy wants to surround himself with good quality ex pros and Teddy fits the bill. Teddy will have a Clause allowing him to leave for any managerial position he is offered.

Expect all the players out on loan to leave Watford in the summer along with a number of others who Aidy now feels are not good enough for the top division. With over £10m to spend big changes will be taking place at the club, however, Aidy will protect his the funds that are available to him deciding instead to look at quality young players on loan.

Richard Wrightm (Free Everton)
Paul Robinson (£2m) or Tony Capaldi (Free Plymouth) will be 1st in
with Chris Eagles and Fangzhou Dong joining on loan for the season from Manchester United, these loan signings will continue the brilliant off field relationship the club has with Sir Alex Ferguson.
Aidy will also attempt to sign both Ben Sahar and Sinclair on loan from Chelsea as he looks for different attacking options.

Cottagers hopeful over Hornets target Wed, May 09 2007 13:18
Lawrie Sanchez believes he can secure the signature of Watford target David Healy for Fulham if he gets the permanent manager's job.
The Northern Ireland manager is confident of persuading Leeds United's prolific international marksman to choose Craven Cottage over Watford, Sunderland and Olympique Marseille - if he stays on after guiding the club to virtual Premiership safety.
And Fulham are set to offer Sanchez a long-term deal, according to the Belfast Telegraph, who report that the ex-Wimbledon star will combine his international duties with a Premiership post for at least the next six months.

Healy is expected to leave Leeds following their relegation to League One and the chance to team up with international boss Sanchez may well appeal to the player.

Caretaker-boss Sanchez became the front-runner for the Fulham job after Saturday's 1-0 home win over Liverpool persuaded chairman Mohammed Fayed he could arrest the club's recent slump.

Watford are keen on Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd has watched Fabianski since January but could not compete with Arsenal. The
Polish keeper, 22, will sign for the Gunners this summer from Legia Warsaw but is unlikely to oust Jens
Lehmann from the No1 spot.

Watford face a fight to hold on to Adrian Mariappa and Hameur Bouazza with both West Ham and Portsmouth interested in the pair.(The People)

ISHMAEL Miller is a summer target for two relegated clubs.

The Blues' powerhouse winger, who can also operate as a central striker, is on the wanted list at Championship side Watford and League One outfit Leeds United.

City would want around £1m for the 20-year-old Academy product, who has failed to make the expected impact on the first team since graduating from Platt Lane.

Despite the consistent problems down the left side of midfield, Miller has managed just three Premiership starts and 13 substitute appearances this season.

Injuries

He failed to take advantage of injuries to on-loan rival DaMarcus Beasley and managed only one full 90 minutes - against Bolton.

Beasley has since been allowed to go back to PSV Eindhoven and it may be that Miller will follow him out of the door.

Miller has seen former youth team colleagues Willo Flood (Cardiff), Bradley Wright-Phillips (Southampton) and Lee Croft (Norwich) all leave to further their careers.

Leeds, who are rebuilding after dropping to the third tier of English football for the first time in their history, want to bring in young, hungry players and Miller fits Dennis Wise's template.

While Miller may be forced to ponder his future with the Blues, half a dozen other youngsters have moved through the Platt Lane pipeline and will begin pre-season as fully fledged professionals.

Wouldn't be bothered to lose him. I know that would leave us with no left wingers and I would like to see him play at CF, but I wonder if he's just a fine physical athlete and little else.

A loan would still be best though, to make sure we aren't losing a big talent.

Miller

But could be a repeat of last summer.

we don't really need mcanuff, i think smith is a better player, but he is worth more than £500k and will provide decent competition for places so we can't really complain if we get him for that price.

helguson - yes please. i would love to see him back. king (assuming he stays) and helguson would be a great partnership in the championship. don't know how much fulham would want for him but i doubt it would be as much as we sold him for originally.

gallen can fuck off.
