Derby have alot of debt. But still been given £10. To be honest I think they look even weaker than us than when we went up.

At least in the champ, we were free scoring. But who knows, if they get a good lil run at the start they could do ok. Watford were a decent side up untill xmas despite what peeps say. Just luck, poor decisions etc went against us.

Raio Piiroja confirms that he has knowledge about the Watford rumours and doesn't conceal the fact that it would be an exciting club to join.
"I know they were relegated from the Premiership this year, but it would be a nice challenge to try and help them get back up. But until that may happen, my focus is on Fredrikstad. That's how it's supposed to be and I really look forward to playing against Rosenborg", said Piiroja last night before he went fishing.

Portsmouth and Fulham have expressed an interest in signing forward Hameur Bouazza from relegated Watford (The Guardian)

Watford - Join the Queue

Late yesterday afternoon Watford joined the ever growing race to sign Scunthorpes Billy Sharp. Adie Boothroyd instructed his board to put a bid in for the young hot shot and it is believed to have matched the offers put in by Norwich and Wolves. Other clubs are monitoring the situation with West Brom and Derby ready to jump in. Sharp has been told by Scunthorpe to sort his future out by the end of the week and it would appear that Wolves are hot favourites to sign him, because lets face it why would he join Norwich. Hopefully Watford can sell the club to the youngster and with a Prem campaign behind us, he may see the Hornets as an ideal way to get himself promoted next season.
Billy scored 30+ goals in Scunthorpes promotion campaign and the Irons have offered him a new deal, it would be a major surprise if he signed that. As it stands it is a straight fight between Watford and Wolves. Watford have already beat Wolves to the punch with the signing of Jobi McAnuff so fingers crossed they do it again

Raio Piiroja is real good in the air and should do well in the Championship. He has also scored several goals for Fredrikstad this season.

Nathan Ellington's future is also in doubt and he is due to hold talks with two unnamed London clubs this week.

He came close to returning to Wigan in the January transfer window and has been linked with a move to Charlton.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aidy made a bid for him last season and had it rejected. I think it's highly likely we are one of the 'london' clubs. I think he is a very decent striker. Pacey strong, always gets goals.

Helguson to join for £2m. If no premiership club comes in for him, I doubt West Ham will. (Watford Observer)

We havent bidded for Billy Sharp this time around but we did in January (Watford Observer)

We are after another winger for cover for Smith, McAnuff and Bouazza (WO)

Harry Forrester is going to Villa (a msg board source)
