by the way great posts olzy. don't know what ralf's agenda is but it's pretty pathetic, and most of it bollocks. bet he's seen us play about twice this season. "getting lucky with man utds reserve keeper" . we made an unknown england's number one, nothing to do with getting lucky. he was shit when he first joined anyway, after a few months he became brilliant, don't know how that can be called luck.

Yeh the posts were a bit :s I cant understand why ralf has gone of on one.

lol @ getting lucky. We've always had pretty good loan success and improved other players: Webber, Pennant and the first two that come into my head.

And yeah Villa will never be succesfull.

Back on the topic of Plymouth, there fans make me laugh saying how poor we were etc I agree however, BUT surely that indicates how shit plymouth are, mean I dont think Watford can play more poor than that.

sadly thats what most people think, it's not always hoof ball. Just the media harp on about it all the time and motd from there 2 min highlights. Remember Aidy & Watford ban the media so they dont like us.

At times at the start of the season we played some pretty good stuff.

Watford are in a transition, a re shake up of staff; malky mackay, dick bate, alec chamberlain now senior memebers of staff we got rid of a couple of coaches in late December.

lose one of our best players(Young), we bring in the likes of youngsters Ashikoidi,Hoskins,Williamson and as said before Cavalli & Rinaldi to help change our style of play. Not easy for young players, forgeiners to settle into new side, new country straight away espically in a low confidence side which isnt playing well.

Are ground is in the early stages of re development at the moment, new facilities(all stands), new east stand(replace the shed) in the summer? to make us a 24/7 business, flats etc Being a better business outside of matchdays will help with wages and new stand aswell as all the other lots of re developments will attract more fans.

We are in the process of changing our style of football despite what you think. Plus we have to make do with what we got, no Marlon King a huge loss and we have no millionaire to buy us big signings on big wages. We cant even compete with the likes of top championship sides like Brum for certain players still.

Got one of the best acadmey facilities at the moment, £30m Harefield Acadmey a huge project not 100% sure if it's finished yet not really been much press about it yet. We got some excellent Youngsters comming through Harry Forester(E u17) Jordan Parkes(u 18's) Jonathan North (Wales u17) Adrian Marriappa first season playing 17 games in succesion in the premiership. Tamas Priskin (still settling in 19 years old Hungarian International). Plus we got amazing training ground as it is anyways so we do attract decent youngsters and I think we will continue to do so as kids are starting to realise no point joining the likes of Arsenal over Watford for example as the big clubs buy there players. I think if 3 or 4 games left we will blood alot of youngsters which will be great for our future.

As a Watford fan you wont understand how much this club has grown in a year or so. I think most of the points above will integate how much of a transition we still are in or have been. A much harder task than your so called transition. Give us a millionaire who can splash money any day please. Ours is a more of a struggle, but when it will all come into place it will feel far greater

Aidy has changed this club round big time. I think we can still become a decent side in the premiership under him in the future. This year probably didnt go to plan but it's still not over yet.

Yeh the Plymouth game wasnt great, we've had to watch that football against Wigan, Ipswich and most majority of games 2007.

But early on in the season the long ball shit was tarnished abit to easy by the media and by MOTD who only show 2 min clips anyways of games.

Our defence is quite solid, it's our centre mid which is poor and everything stems frm there I feel.

If we had two midfielders who could put there foot on the ball give Bouazza*(quality winger with pace and good cross and has scored a few) and Smith good service to run at the full backs more who then supply crosses or even give the strikers ball to feet or through on goal

Francis and Mahon just dont play well together. Mahon too deep and not a good fotballer sadly wont ever get dropped due to being his love child / skipper and Francis is so lazy but does actually have quality when he can be bothered.

interesting post...

dont get me wrong, i have nothing against watford, its just everytime i have seen you, the football has been attrocious..

and as this thread was about watford in the argyle game, then its appropriate to comment here and now...

Watford was soooo lucky.Plymouth really deserved to win.I can't believe such a weak team like Watford will play in the semi final.Lucky draw and lucky win.You can't have more luck left.

what, like they did last year when we were battering teams left right and centre, second highest goalscorers in the league.

you got lucky with foster... hes not your keeper, and you didnt turn him into anything... if you are claiming you turned him into the player he is, then surely that means that baring in mind most of your side are wank, enough to make your manager HAVE to hoof the ball due to lack of quality, then by your reasoning, YOU must have turned them shit...

fact is, foster has always had the talent.. you just borrowed him at the right time...

im not sure what villa have to do with the game, or watford, apart from an equally pathetic dig at us because you know im talking the truth, but hey ho, thats up to you...

im used to it over time when it comes to villa, so if you think it got to me as your defence mechanism from the truth, then you are sorely mistaken...

funny though...

time will tell whether villa ever do anything over the course of the next ten years and beyond... personally, i have never claimed that we are going to win anything, so again, dont let facts get in the way of a silly little rant...

what i want, and what i am seeing, is progression... moreso off the pitch so far, but the football has improved and we are picking up some decent players slowly but surely..

this is what the owners have said, and this is what the new owners are delivering....

only time will tell, whether that brings large success, or the sort of progression i would like and expect...

as for you battering championship sides, well if yesterday was anything to go by, then you are going to need all the luck in the world...

so again, good luck with your championship tour...

"borrowed him at the right time", says a lot about our scouting system. not luck at all. look at how bad he was in the first two months he was here, most fans wanted him sent back. we have improved him no question. if it was so obvious he had the talent why did no-one else borrow him?

You have only improve Foster on one thing: You have give him a lot of match experience. It's better to develop own players.

We didn't borrow him to develop him. We borrowed him in the short term to help us make a promotion challenge. Seeing as that promotion challenge was successful, I think it was worth it.

depends what you mean by that, as Man Utd have to buy all there youngsters now days.

Adrian Mariappa is our very own Right Back, very promising prospect.
Ashley Young 9m to Villa
Hameur Bouazza French Winger, has come on along way this season
Tommy Smith is actually originally from our acadmey
Al Bangura - defensive mid 18 year old played quite a few games. Need consistency.
Richard Lee - Sub goalie, done well when deputising for Foster.
Lloyd Doyley - Right back started the season, a bit out of his depth but very steady in champsionship.

There the main youngsters / players that have come through our acadmey

plus other youngsters who will come through the ranks next year or 2:
Parkes, Robinson, Forrester, Campana.

As for championship if we are in there next season we have already beaten Ipswich and Plymouth in the f.a cup with poor performances and these two sides were playing out of there skins / added motivation and we still won. In the summer with a pre season to settle in the new players and get injury players back to fitness King and Carlisle both instrumental in getting us promoted in the first place.

In championship I'm 99% sure we will go out all attack like last season. I'm sure we will strengthen aswell in the summer and be stronger.

Im not really too bitter. It shows how bad we suck that you guys come here not even try to win and won.

Personally the scoreline doesn't mean too much to me. I watch football and other sports to be entertained. Sundays game was as bad as it gets.

Anyways i will say this last year when we played you was the best game i have ever seen live. You guys came back from 3-1 down and drew 3-3 but that time you deserved to win. Thats mainly why i was so dissapointed with how you played on Sunday.

yes, your scouts are amazing..

not like anyone had ever heard about manchester united signing ben foster...

your scouts must be brilliant to have picked up such a gem from such an unknown club as manchester united...
