i have both i only got 2 games for my ps3 and about 15 for me xbox right now i reckon here in uk 360 hands down but when final fantasy xiii comes out i may change my mind

Well, you really can't compare them by games only available for each single console.

PS3 is very expensive. Its supposedly better, but I have access to both, and I can't tell the difference after playing Assasin's Creed or Call of Duty??? So this supposed dominance by PS3 is a mystery to me?

I prefer the XBOX 360 for two reasons. Its cheap and I prefer XBOX live.

The XBOX controller is far superior to the Sony one, and I think the general layout and how the menu is.

Now, from what I hear, if you like RPG, then go with the Sony. Or obscure Japanese titles also go with the Sony.

But for action and FPS or Sports or strategy, go with the XBOX.

Mind you, Oblivion is probably the best RPG, and its available for the XBOX, so who knows.

....and if you want a blue ray player, go with Sony.

But word of advice, Blueray is a big headache. I'll do another thread for that.

There's supposed to be a New Super Mario coming out for wii...they said it's fantastic.

I haven't played games in a few years...but i prefer Sony...just bc i have familiarity with it. I was at the Sony store a couple weeks back and saw some kids play some NBA game and the realism was phenomenal. Sure beats the days where i played "Magic Johnson's Fast Break" for NES as a kid lol

And Sony is counting on people buying its console because of people being familiar with it, however that is not working out to be the case.

Some analysts say that nintendo has really hit Sony hard. Not so much XBOX.

Its really funny, but if you by pure evil, Sony is just an "evil" company. They would love for us to be paying 100 dollars plus for games or thousand bucks or more for consoles.

Microsoft in this is smelling like a bed of roses. They won't make their consoles HD ready, you have to buy an add on. They said they are a gaming console, and if you want that feature, you have to buy a seperate unit.

This is important....very important. If you are using your Sony player to play blueray DVDs all the time, and the thing breaks down, better hope there is still a warranty.

With the XBOX, you can just bring back the add on or just buy another one as its not going to cost much.

For me so far it's the X-box due to the current selection of games but also for the price and X-box Live.

Games like Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War, The Orange Box, Dead Rising, Oblivion etc. vs not much on the PS3 although Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII could even it out a bit more.

Remember, 360 has been around for MUCH longer than PS3 so most people will have grown used to it. The PS3 has the capasity to get much better (remember that it's relatively new) whereas the 360 is already at max. potential. Do you see?

When games like MGS4 are released PS3 will find reach a new level, a level that the 360 simply cannot reach.

Verdict: 360 is better ATM, but PS3 is a better investment. PS3 will overtake XBox.

Your basing your conclusion on title? So your suggesting that their will be no more titles for the 360 coming out that people want to own?

You completeley ignore the fact with the evidence at hand.

XBOX live is better.

XBOX is cheaper.

XBOX controller is better.

Microsoft will introduce a new console before Sony again, so any percieved advantage in the console itself will be short lived. Most peope will not be able to percieve a diference between the machines in terms of graphics, actually most experts suspect there is very litte or no difference.

So again, I ask...what is this advantage?
