How about the overall game? What do you rate it out of 10? Can you still do freaky goals like from the corner ( did it in fifa 07 with Recoba ).Any glitches you've found?
Top team you play with? Most balanced club team you think?fav National team?
and finally do they allow you to also be a manager of a national team of your preference?I think thats all that their missing.

I read a review of this version and they said that the gameplay was excellent in this version and even those that have always prefered Winning Eleven will find this Fifa 08 to be as realistic as winning eleven. Sounded unbelievable.

Purchased it today.
Installed it..
.. but it doesn't work.
Once I click the icon, I get a black screen, and the only way to get out of it it's to reboot the system.
And, I'm not the only one with the problem.
But yes, it's the computer problem.
I guess the graphics gard.
Was very pissed off that I didn't work.
Wanted to play it so badly.

I think this game is great...I have always loved the Fifa games so i had to get it. I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10. I haven't found a glitches yet will look tho .
I always play with Chelsea and it is great to play with them. I think Greece, Spain, Argentina have a gd national teams. Obviously my fav is Greece. Manager mode is just as gd (just have to find the lowest salaries for the players which takes a bit of time).
I really like be a pro mode...would be even better if you could make a career of it.
I also really like the new thing called the arena...the arena is basically an area when the game is loding matches etc. you have one outfield player and a gk in goal opposite you and you can practice shooting and tricks etc.
Only downside imo is that when the players on my team get tackled they fly in the air (overexaggerate) and it seems they are diving or it was a bad foul and they are injured. so that kind of annoys me cos I think the ref keeps on making mistakes.

Just played it and there is a definite change in their gameplay. They have moved away from their pass pass shoot gameplay. Now the passing has to be dead fucking accurate defending is basically the same. Sliding tackles are definte cards unless you change the option. The commentary sounds as if they have no enthusiasm. But it is a change of commentators. Andy Gray is still there but Martin Tyler is there now. 9 for design 8.7 for gameplay 7.6 Presentation and 8.8 overall

Anyone played the new Online Be a Pro mode on 360. Quite a cool experience and I've gotten pretty decent as a winger.
Only thing that sucks is the "Through Ball on Rails" I wish you could alter your runs mid way like in PES. Thats about the biggest negative I've found in Fifa a much better effort than in years past?

What platform you're playing it on?

PS2 - this version is almost the same as FIFA07. Very few changes to the game.
X-Box 360 - this version has massive changes. In fact, its pretty much a whole different game. If you have the money, get a new-gen version of FIFA.

In what situations? When I am back to the goal the flick over the head and volley works well if you have a decent striker...
