When does it come out in Canada/North America? Gotta pick this up for the 360 asap.

I'm playing this game, got it 2 weeks ago. at the same day it went out on shops. on PS2...

I'm so disappointed, I couldn't find boca. they added river plate from argentina and internacional from brasil, but in the wikipedia link you posted in this thread, they said boca would be there also... maybe its just that the PS2 version doesn't have it??

the game didn't change much, and its good imo. it's a bit easier to score goals but it's harder to pass.
it looks pretty much the same on PS2, but I was told that on PS3 it is another world.

they improved master league and it is much more fun now. they added "popularity" ting for the players and the teams... realy cool.

and there is another new thing called "world tour" where you make challenges, there are 100 different ones, I already made 5 I think, it's not easy. but I'm not realy enjoying it...

the popular random selection match is still the same...

I don't know if you guys used the "memorial match" in the last version, but it is gone now.
its a shame. me and my friend had all our matches saved, and it was great!

overall, I'm very happy with it. (I'm not the type that gets disappointed from a game after I bought it)

anyone has it on PS3? tell us about it...

I've got Pro Evo 08 & FIFA 08 (both on PS2) and FIFA is just nowhere near Pro Evo, the difference is massive...

I don't own a console, but I've played PES 2008 on PS3 and Xbox 360. They are pretty much the same on either platform, though I'm told that Xbox live is better than PS3 net play.

Overall, the graphics for the PS2 version are pretty much the same, but i suppose it's because the PS2 has already reached it's potential, so you cannot expect too many improvements.

The PS3/360 version of PES 2008 is a bit tricky. The graphics are obviously brilliant, but the game seems a bit rushed. Editing players is very good, but kit edit, team and badge edit are poor. Editing the teams kits is probably better on PS2. The ability to take photos, however, is very good.

The stadium edit is dissapointing, as i expected to be able to create a stadium from scratch (Elland Road), but you can only change the grass on existing stadia, that it!

Overall, I would say that is is great visually, but it is a bit rushed and lacks many fun features. Perhaps it's because it is the first new PES released on PS3. Maybe the next one will have more detailed features.

If your deciding wheather or not the PS£ or Xbox version is better, i would say Xbox edges it ATM. If you don't own either console, I recommend the PS3. It would be a better investment as it has yet to reach its full capacity/potential, whereas 360 has already peaked.

Based entirely on PES 2008....If you have a choice, buy it on Xbox today. But when the next one comes out, buy it on PS3.

One problem I have noticed with the game is the goal keepers are terrible. Whenever a team shoots at my goal I seem to concede because my keeper makes a hash of it. Most of the shots are easy to save but the keeper seems to make mistakes which in real life rarely happen...has anyone noticed this or is it just me?

yeah incidentally since my above post i've got a 360 and have both FIFA and pro evo for it...

theyre both completely different on the xbox.

FIFA is much improved although still flawed, I'm undecided about pro evo, I haven't played it too much but the game seems to move a bit too quickly now, the difference is much smaller but I still think it's probably better than FIFA.

And Pro Evo 08 has been out for months

if you are used to FIFA, then you'll see that the goalkeeping in PES is terrible, specially when you try to control the goalkeeper (like pressing the bottom that gets him out of the goal...)

not all goalkeepers handle the ball badly though, try cech, buffon or van der saar - when their condition is good, and you'll see they are nearly unbeatable! (the condition thing is very important! if a goalkeeper has a negative condition, don't play him.)

Scored from half with Kaka one time. You know how you touch the ball with Turbo and it goes really far infront of you...Well I decided to shoot the ball and it was literally a lazer beam into the corner of the net .I think that might have been a glitch

in the EDIT menu there is the "register player" option... I used it to make the transfers that are happening now in the game... and now I can play with the updated rosters

Adriano is a beast in all Pro Evo games.I think he was 99 shot power and 99 shot accuracy for both 07 and 08 games .I have to pick barca when my brother picks Inter....He plays him as AM and just shoots the heck out of games.
