I assume Silva would play as left winger.

"Well, that was fun... in a fuckin' terrible, sick, not-at-all-fun way."
Ricardo Quaresma: forever a Porto legend. Thank you for all the memories.

But see that is my problem... assuming Eto'o doesn't leave they have an attack of Henry, Eto'o, Messi, Bojan and Ronaldinho, Iniesta has also played at Left wing just to make sure he actually gets into the team so 4.5 players for 3 places and then Xavi, Deco, Silva and Yaya...Yaya has to play because he is the dm so that leaves 2 slots for 4 players...

I think Eto'o will leave because Barcelona are trying to overhaul their entire squad. They'd get rid of Henry too, but he doesn't want to leave. They're going for younger and more hungry players.
I think we might see one of the Valencia wingers at Chelsea next season, with Roman wanting flair and such.

Well Deco and Ronaldinho are leaving so that leaves 2 less for the positions.
If we get Silva or Hleb then that leaves 5 players for 4 positions which isn't too bad. It would leave us lining up something like this.....
---------------------- VV
- Alves? --- Puyol ---- Caceres ----- Abidal
------------------ Yaya/Keita
-------- Xavi/Keita ------ Keita/Iniesta
- Messi --------------------------- Silva/Hleb/Iniesta
-------------- Eto'o/Thierry or New ST
Probably Yaya will be the DM with Xavi/Iniesta in midfield with Keita and Silva/Hleb/Iniesta on the left wing. All 5 will be available less of than time than most as we've seen this season with the fantastic 4 so the places will pick themselves. Also Hleb and Silva can play CM quite well.
Eto'o also might leave, depending on what Guardiola says to him in a week.

Villa And Silva For the Right Price Only
Quote:
Valencia's president has revealed that David Villa and David Silva can leave if the club receive realistic offers for their services after denying the whole squad was available.
Augstín Morera was irritated by reports that los Che were prepared to let any player go should an offer be put on the table and blamed journalists for making stories up.
A number of players were said to be set to leave with new coach Unai Emery believed to want to trim the 40 professionals on club's books to 22 or 23.
Despite the expected departures, few Valencia fans will be pleased with news that both Villa and Silva have not been made non-transferable and could go if the price is right.
"We will study offers for them if the amount is substantial," Morera said. "It is also down to the whether the coaching staff believe they can go.
"Valencia will only make announcements when there is news and things are done. It is wrong for journalists to just claim that everyone is for sale.
"The board here is not the decision making body. Our coaching staff makes such choices and they will have the last word on who will be and who will from the squad."
Barcelona have already lodged a €15m offer for Silva, while several major clubs are monitoring Villa's movements over the summer as they prepare to test Valencia's resolve.
The pair are currently with the Spanish national squad in Austria preparing for the European Championships, which start for them against Russia next Tuesday in Innsbruck.

Unai Emery interview the other day:
Quote:
Valencia CF coach, Unai Emery, stated to ‘valenciacf.es’ that all Valencia CF fans shoud be delighted with the performance of Villa, Silva and Marchena in the great match against Russia. The new coach was very explicit about the outstanding performance of Villa in the first match of the Eurocup 08. His football received the praises of all the football fans. ‘Villa’s game was positive for football in general, for the Spanish team and for Valencia CF. I’m not worried about him, because the Club always told me that Villa and Silva will be part of our squad next season,’ said Emery.
Valencia CF players in their debut in the EURO 08
‘Villa’s game was positive for football in general, for the Spanish team and for Valencia CF. But besides Villa’s performance, with his hat-trick, I do also want to stress the performance of Silva and Marchena in Spain’s debut and I hope that Raúl Albiol can play very soon, too. Valencia CF fans should be delighted with their performances.’
Match analysis and Spain’s next match
‘The clash against Russia was good and there were many goals. The match against Sweden will be very similar to the first one. Theoretically, Spain is a better team, but they must not relax and be overconfident. They should play like in the debut match.’
Asier del Horno
‘His predisposition is very important. He wants to be involved with the Club.’

So Del Horno to stay and Villa and Silva have been promised to stay to Unai unless of course they get mega offers for the pair.

Del Horno is a good left back if he can get a decent run of games under his belt, he would be an asset to Valencia. Better player than Caneira.
