And now since Koeman has left, Valencia have played 3, won 2 and lost 1.

The 2 they won were against teams battling relegation, and the 1 they lost was to a team in the Champions League spots...

Looks like Valencia should be safe this season, 5 points off the relegation spots, with 2 matches left, and they've still got to play Levante... hardly a worsening situation.

Played 4, won 3, battered in 1 now. They're saved from relegation.

I think Koeman had the team in such a freefall a new coach just had to stabilise everything for the last 5 games. The players disliked Koeman because of his stubborness to change tactics, something that Vicente has publicly said. I thought Voro was a bad choice because of his inexperience and questionable dressing room influence but it seems like it's paid off. With Koeman there for the last 5 games they may have been relegated.
