Valencia midfielder Vicente told reporters that he can’t explain the number of small injuries he is constantly suffering, and he blames the team’s medical staff.
Vicente Rodriguez told reporters that he no longer has faith in the methods used by the Valencia medical staff, after constantly being out of action for the last few months because of these injury setbacks.
“I’m very low animically. I’ve lost all confidence in the medical staff, that is it. I’ve been defending them for the last two years, but I don’t see any way of the situation improving, when I’m still not recovered from one injury I get worse, or suffer from another one. They give me an injection and then I can’t move myself for a week because of the pain.
“Ontop of this, then they tell me maybe my injury doesn’t exist, and it is psychological. It’s very hard, I can’t stand it any longer. I’ve lost all confidence in the doctor, but I don’t want to be bad to anyone, but here the person who loses is me, because I can’t play football nor can help my teammates. I only ask to play twenty minutes in one go,” he said.
Vicente has only played one official match this season. In that match, against Elfsborg, he scored Valencia’s first goal, and was a constant threat to their defense.
Last season the player also suffered a number of injuries, and was only able to score four goals for Valencia during that season.
“That is the worst part about it all, to know that when I have the opportunity to play with good health, things turn out well for me, and I play well, I can help the team,” he concluded.
