Default Valencia offer €18m for Lucho Gonzalez

El Valencia ofrece quince millones de euros por Lucho González - Marca.com

Various stories saying Valencia are after Lucho Gonzalez which has been confirmed by Valencia's new Sporting Director. Valencia are rumoured to have gone up to 18m Euros but Porto want 20m Euros, a deal may well be struck.

-------------------- Canizares/Timo
- Miguel ------ Alexis ---------- Raul Albiol ------ Moretti
---------- Lucho Gonzalez ------- Albelda
- Joaquin ------------- David Silva -------------- Vicente
------------------------- David Villa

Valencia usually play the 4-4-2 or their 4-3-3. The one above can have Silva as the second striker or Silva in the midfield 3, either way Silva drops into the hole infront of the defence and creates space. They also have the option of the flat 4-4-2 with another striker like Morientes partnering Villa. They've also got lots of options in their squad like Edu, Baraja, Caniera, Arizmendi, Hugo Viana etc. All they need is a backup CB and another striker rumoured to be Luis Garcia of Espanyol and they could be fierce title challengers next season.

Pinto da Costa the Porto President has said that a deal could well be struck. Porto are resisting Valencia's assault but Valencia may go around Porto and try and buy MSI's share of Lucho's 50% in which case Lucho would hen have the option to stay at Porto or move to Valencia, in which he'll probably go to Valencia.

€20 million may well be the price finally agreed at.

Lucho Gonzalez wants to move to Valencia, but they're still arguing over a fee.

Lucho Flattered By Valencia Link

Quote:
Lucho González has revealed that he has not spoken to any club about a transfer, but is flattered by the interset being shown in him by Valencia.

The Argentinian star is currently on holiday after competing in the recent Copa América while the rumours surrouding his future continue unabated.

Valencia are strongly linked to the 26-year-old, but are having doubts about making a concrete move over the €18m price tag.

The Porto midfielder has made it clear that he would consider a move to Mestalla, however, although he would have problem staying with the Portuguese club.

"Valencia is a great club, but I do not know what will happen, and now I want to rest," he stated.

"I am not thinking about my future, at the moment I am on holiday.

"If I stay at Porto I will be happy.

"I am not thinking if I am going back to Oporto, or if I am going away to Valencia. I do not know anything and I have not spoken with anybody."

I'd love to see Lucho at Valencia, I hope the deal deal works itself that way.

What kind of barca fan are you ? :P

Worse than me. Though he would be a great buy for them, but last i heard no fee could be agreed.

So they opted for kallstrom instead.
