If they were interested they would have made a move by now, or at least an approach.

I thought they made a move but didn't offer enough.
They should consider him anyway.

Madrid, maybe Chelsea. It's not definate that Drogba will leave yet, I know it's probable but there could still be a turn around. Also Madrid have apparently already signed Hunterlaar which was leaked by Luis Fabiano's agent. They need 1 no.9 but I'm not sure about 2 no.9's.
Also on the offer I'd take Granero over de la Red.

Valencia Want €40m For Villa
Quote:
Valencia have slapped a €40million price tag on the head of striker David Villa, but are content to listen to offers for the 26 year old.
It is generally assumed that at least one of Valencia's 'big name' players will be sold off over the summer in order to ease their financial difficulties and it seems as if that player could be Villa.
They have not officially transfer-listed the striker, but Valencia are ready to listen to offers, although their €40million request may be a little unrealistic at this point in time.
A number of clubs are reported to be preparing bids in the region of €25million for Villa, but this is not a figure at which Valencia would be willing to part company with 'el Guaje'.
Villa has indicated that he doesn't wish to discuss his future until after Euro 2008, and Valencia will be hopeful that a good tournament for him would see his market value rise closer to their own valuation.
The future of Villa was one of a number of subjects that new Valencia coach Unai Emery and his assistant Juan Carlos Carcedo discussed with the club's technical staff as the pair turned up for their first official day of work in charge of Los Che.
They had a two and a half hour meeting with the technical staff, before also conversing at length with head of medical services Antonio Giner and doctor Frasquet and they begin their plans for next season.

is €40mill----> £31mill??
I can definitely see Chelsea making an offer for him after the Euro and when we get a definite manager...but 30mill is a bit too much probably would offer £27 mill at most.

Big Guns On Alert As Villa Made Available For £17m - Report
Contrary to earlier reports that Valencia valued their star David Villa at €40 million, the Daily Mail reports that he could leave the club for as little as £17 million...
The Spanish international is being watched by Real Madrid, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsenal - a club he singled out for praise last month - also outside contenders for his signature.
Despite winning the Copa del Rey this season, Valencia are in complete disarray following their group stage elimination from the Champions League and near-relegation in La Liga and will have to sell at least one of their big name stars in order to stay afloat and indeed rebuild for the future.
The striker has insisted that he will not decide on his future until after Euro 2008, and should this prove to be the case, a good campaign may well see £17 million rise to much more, though it is highly unlikely Valencia will get anything in the region of the €40 million they are hopeful of netting for the ex-Real Zaragoza man.
Real Madrid are thought to be at the head of the queue for the 26-year-old, with Chelsea close behind and Tottenham perhaps slightly out of their financial weight class.

Calderon, let's put the money on Villa, instead of C7...

But David Villa will demand first team football.....will he get that in Real Madrid? Schuster can't and won't put Raul or Van Nistelrooy on the bench.
Its better for Madrid to use money on Huntelaar and keep Saviola. Soldado and Baptista SHOULD be sold to finance the transfer of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

You guys take Huntelaar and we will take Villa. Come on Roman that is a bargain compared to some the deals you have done for worse players previously...so lets get a bid in and quick.

Villa Tempted By Liverpool Move
Quote:
Spanish striker David Villa has admitted that the prospect of moving to England and playing for Liverpool is an attractive one, stating that the idea of linking up with former Valencia coach Rafael Benítez is tempting...
Villa, 26, is currently one of the hottest properties in Europe having already scored four goals in two games for his country at Euro 2008.
The Valencia striker who will quit the Mestalla this summer had been reported as saying he would prefer to remain in Spain, despite interest from several Premier League clubs.
Yet it now appears that the lure of Liverpool, with their Spanish contingent, including manager Rafael Benitez and fellow striker Fernando Torres, may have changed his mind.
“Liverpool and Chelsea are both big clubs with a lot of attraction,” he said before adding, “Liverpool have a Spanish coach and I also have a lot of friends there.”
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is clearly a fan of the striker having previously tried, unsuccessfully, to sign Villa when he was Valencia manager, something Villa is aware of. He said: “When Rafa was coach at Valencia and I was at Zaragoza there was contact about me joining Valencia but I couldn’t arrive until the year after he left there.”
Villa eventually signed for Valencia from Zaragoza in 2005 and has gone on to make 101 appearances for the club, scoring 58 goals.
He is currently playing for Spain in Euro 2008 and after scoring a hat trick in his opening game against Russia, went on to hit a last minute winner against Sweden last night to send his side through to the quarter finals of the competition.

Boy am I glad that Liverpool are broke because a Torres and Villa strike partnership would be devastating…
I think this is one of the players Scolari wants for Chelsea and I think we can pretty much outbid anyone so we should def make a bid.

Oh how I would love Senor Benitez to ditch his interest in Gareth Barry and put the money towards a move for Villa.

Tho alonso wants to move so you might get some cash from that...which I hope Benitez spends all on Barry.
Hopefully his price tag will increase so that only a few clubs can compete one of which will hopefully be Chelsea.
