Default Hildebrand Denies Bayern Contact

Hildebrand Denies Bayern Contact

Quote:

German international keeper Timo Hildebrand has denied reports in the Spanish press that he is in contact with Bayern Munich over a possible return to the Bundesliga.

The Valencia keeper has refuted claims that he was looking to make a return to his homeland after just one season in La Liga and was not interested in succeeding Oliver Kahn at the Bavarian giants.

“Bayern are looking for a second goalkeeper and I do not want to sit on the bench” Hildebrand explained.

The ‘Las Provincias’ newspaper in Valencia has continually linked the former Stuttgart keeper with a move to Bayern, and upped the speculation after Hildebrand was spotted flying into Munich airport last week.

The Los Ches keeper insisted that his trip to Germany was for purely personal reasons, and that it also wasn’t to receive treatment for his hip injury.

“I have complete faith in the club’s medical staff” Hildebrand insisted.

The German keeper has not had the ideal start to his La Liga career having struggled at the start of the season, before breaking into the first team, only to then see trainer Ronald Koeman fired after a disastrous season for Los Ches.
