Default Flores Tells Del Horno To Sort Himself Out

Good signing. He'll do well in La Liga and for Valencia.

He has lost his place in the Spanish national team, but now he has a big chance of taking it back.

Valencia will have a very good team this season. They have not so many big names as Barca and Madrid, but they have a good machine team and I think they can take the second.

Del Horno and Vicente give Valencia the best left side in La Liga.

Ronaldinho isn't a winger, and Zambrotta mite be rightback.

Yes but you said "left side"

Ronnie and Zambro are both likely to play there

Don't think so. Gio isn't a fantastic player so as Sylvinho. As rightback there are Belleti or even Oleguer.

Belleti and Oleguer are pretty poor. Gio is a Rijkaard favourite.

Del Horno In Barca Link

Quote:
FC Barcelona have opened negotiations to sign Asier Del Horno from Valencia after he was made available by Quique Sánchez Flores at the end of the season.

The Blaugrana view the former Athletic Bilbao and Chelsea full-back as an attractive proposition as he would cost around €5m, according to Onda Cero radio.

Frank Rijkaard is keen to add one more defender to his squad, despite landing Éric Abidal and Gabriel Milito already this summer and has asked the board to look for targets, the report continued.

Del Horno joined Valencia last summer from Chelsea, but picked up an injury that saw him miss the World Cup Finals and the majority of the season.

After returning to action in March, the 26-year-old made eight appearances for los Ché, but that was not enough to convince Flores to keep him.

A concrete move for Del Horno could spell the end of Sylvinho's time at the club, although it is the Brazilian's future that casts doubt on the move.

During negotiations over the transfer of Ludovic Giuly to AS Roma, the Italian club reportedly asked about Sylvinho but were told that he was unavailable.

Having allowed Gio Van Bronckhorst to return to Holland to rejoin Feyenoord and the arrival of Abidal, Barça appeared to have concluded their search for new defenders.

Goal.com - Valencia - Del Horno Reveals Transfer Demands

Goal.com - Transfer Zone - Valencia's Del Horno Rejects Bayern Switch

In the first story Del Horno says he'll only leave Valencia for an equal club or Bilbao and says he knows nothing of the Barca link. In the second story he's rejected Bayern.

Personally I'd like to see him back at Bilbao.

Poor guy, he was probably offered to Bayern but we rejected him, so he made up that story to see if some other club comes..

Besides, this guy wouldn't even make our bench... Definately one of the most pathetic rumours ever, on par with Porto making an offer for Drogba.

Del Horno interest? Bullshit.

First off, FCB don't need him.

He's a LB, and if we need a defence reinforcement that will be a CB.

But, Hitzfeld doesn't think so at all, he trusts in the defenders we already have.

And, the last, can't see a late arrival in München.

Wait.. The article says 'according to Marca'. Oh well, certified bullshit. Fuck the spanish sport newspapers, crap from cover to the last page.

We're completed with transfers, all what remains is the Santa Cruz departure case.

Goal.com - Valencia - Athletic Give Up On Del Horno

Bilbao give up on Del Horno so it looks like he's staying for next season.
