Valencia have finally struck a deal to sign Jan Kromkamp from AZ Alkmaar.
Although the Primera outfit have yet to officially confirm the news, a €7 million fee has now been agreed with their Dutch counterparts.
The two sides are thrashing out the proposed method of payment, but a four-year contract for the full back has been drawn up.
Valencia have been following Kromkamp for several months following his fine displays in Alkmaar's excellent campaign last time around.
The 24-year-old will meet up with Valencia at their pre-season training camp which is being held in Ermelo, Holland.
He is expected to complete the formalities of his transfer once he meets up with his prospective new employers, with Valencia director of sport Javier Subirats admitting the transfer was 'imminent'.
Kromkamp was also being chased by Porto, but will now become Valencia's sixth signing of the close season following Edu, Mario Regueiro, Patrick Kluivert, David Villa and Juan Luis Mora into the club.
