Default Gold Cup Purse

Wondering if anyone has a link, or information, about the allocation of revenue earned from the Gold Cup. It looks like the tournament is going to average close to 30,000 fans per match (though most matches actually included 2 games) or perhaps even slightly higher. Just curious about the financial structure of the competition...how much CONCACAF earns and what it does with the money (keep it for the Federation, disperse it among the various national federations...). If there were approximately 350,000 tickets sold (I'm estimating), that's somewhere in the vicinity of 20 million from ticket sales alone (not to mention tv revenue, parking, food, gifts...). Anyway, any info/insight would be appreciated.

its going to Concacaf
to be spread around to all of the 40 clubs
remember the US Soccer federation get's 15 percent of every game played in the USA[from club teams to national teams]

pretty sure in two years time, the prize of the pie will show a increase

I believe this year winner get's around 1 million dollars

Thanks Frank. Does that 1 million go to the federation or is it split among the players?

The games seem to be pretty well attended and CONCACAF looks like it is going to make a tidy profit from this tourney (as will the USSF).

to the federation, pretty sure they got a good piece of the pie

but the federation 15 percent charge to any game played in the USA territory, is a money maker special since 1994

example
Benfica vs AEK of Greece at Giants stadium - 15 percent goes to the US federation

Toluca vs Chicago Fire - the US Federation get's 15 percent

this going on, since the 50's, some teams try to get away years back when litte information was given , not asking the USSF for permission they will get a heavy penalty and the agent a license suspension.
