Thanks for the advice. How many times have you seen the US play in the last five years? I'm sure you thought that there was no possible way we could beat your Portugal team, or even advance to the quarterfinals in 2002, right?

you got to love the haters usamu. Many can't admit that the US is a very good team, and the new thing among the haters is to say that "yes" the US is getting better but there is alway's a but. You can always tell the people that don't look at it from an objective view because you see people hating on the USNT all the time for reason that don't make sense. For example just look at the people that bitch about the US ranking in the FIFA rankings. They say that they don't care about the rankings and say they are foolish, I'm not saying there not but if they don't mean anything to them then why do they get so worked up about the US ranking. The always bitch about us because they say we play is such a weak federation (CONCACAF) which I could by into if they every bitched about Mexico's ranking but they don't because they are haters, there not objective so I could give a flying fuck.

I predict the USA to win the Group
ahead of Italy

one advice to Poland, they better call Sagnowski to the team, he could be a sensation scored at this upcoming world cup.

Interesting article in the New York Times yesterday discussing Klinsmann's ties to the U.S. and German fear of the "Americanization of German soccer". Apparently, Klinsmann has even hired an American trainer AND an American sports psychologist. Interesting that an "old world soccer power" and the German Soccer Federation would allow a German coach to take on US soccer training techniques and methods of play.

The article quoted Klinsmann as stating, "The United States, he said, also appealed to him for its "let's go for it" attitude. Many Germans seem pleased by the new attacking style Klinsmann has put in."

Sounds like the American approach to soccer is gaining a lot of respect. Maybe the MLS isn't that bad and the English Premiership may not possess the de facto style of play.

Bruce has fielded a very interesting starting XI:

Keller

Conrad
Berhalter
Gibbs

Cherundolo
Zavaganin
Mastroeni

Wolff
Convey

Johnson
Ching

That's right, it's a 3-3-2-2.

I think Wolff will great in this set-up playing behind the strikers. The thing that concers me is that midfirld for this game llike against Poland is weak.
