Eddie Johnson looked good tonight IMHO. He's very impressive so far. I hope he gets a shot in some matches where there is a bit more pressure.

I thought Ralston played pretty well and earned another call-up. I also thought Dempsey showed he has a bright future with the Nats.

Every national team player gets compensated when they play for their national team and for performance. The USSF got away with paying nothing or little for a long time. The US national team players are not on strike but are locked out after a set date if they don't approve the USSF "take it or leave it offer". Even the Portugese players must get compensated. I have a brother in law who plays primarily for country when he gets called up for his national team, but does get compensated. Sometimes compensation is more depending on the importance of the game and of course the teams performance, like if they win. I am not saying I know all the intricacies, but some of it has been explained to me.
