Most college teams are ages 18-22. At my college you dont usually play til oyu are 21 unless you are very good. However they still pay your school the first few years.

the skill level of the average player might be 2nd division but the pace is slower IMO.

I been looking around Newark but i also considered New Brunswick which is a lot further down. Im willing to go anywhere around NJ/NY i dont care where it is, it could be near Boston too. It be good if its around that area of the country as i have two friends in New Jersey even though i may consider California as i have relatives there.

Brown University has a great soccer program and is an IVY League College in Providence, somewhat close to Boston and NYC.

I'm more upstate at the moment I can help a little more if you would want to come to the middle of NY state.
Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY (Home of the US soccer Hall of Fame) It's a small college town of about 30,000. Soccer is bigtime there.
Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY (coming into this season they are ranked #22 in the nation. They are school/club thats on the rise, just recently playing at the Division one level.decent metro-city size of about 250,000) check this out and the head coaches name is Paul Marco and his e-mail is pmarco@binghamton.edu
Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY (Syracuse plays in the biggest league by far and it's a great athletics school. Very good in all sports. Huge college town, biggest city of the 3 schools I've mentioned population is about 800,000. Head coach is Dean Foti and his e-mail is dtfoti@syr.edu
Once I have more time I will mention some more D1 colleges in NY that have good soccer programs.
