Well i dont know if most of you know but the rhinos has been having alot of financial problems. Ill keep you inform as news comes in. Once the most stable team in the league and a example for other minor league teams has hit hard time since they build their new stadium. The have Lawsuits filed against them for unpaid bills that have been surfacing since the start of last season.

Theres been rumors of a new investor to save them but little hase come out about him, but theres been contradicting rumors that says the league is actually looking for new owners to take over if the rhinos fuld, the city has alot of vested interest in a soccer team and the league to.

Yeah the team owners had been rumored to been skimming money from the team and the stadium fund, that and the bad financial statues of the team has made the city open a incuary about the financial goings of the team and have also held 4m that where suppose to go to finishing the stadium, which still dosnt have a finish press box and lockers.

Owners set for new Rochester Rhinos

United Soccer Leagues announced that Adirondack Sports Club LLC has acquired the USL First Division and W-League franchise rights for the greater Rochester area. The Rochester Rhinos will call the newly built PAETEC Park home. [+]

Calloway ousted in Rochester
The Rochester Rhinos announced today that they will not retain Laurie Calloway as head coach for the 2008 season. He served as the head coach of the Rochester Rhinos from 2005-2007 and guided the team to three USL First Division Playoff appearances. Calloway recorded a 40-21-23 regular season record while at the helm for the Rhinos. [+]

They have signed Darren Tilley as head coach, he played for the Rhinos when the won the last Championship in '99. The also have a new logo:

It looks like this owner is really involved in the operations and all.
Hopefully this will help and get stuff back on track.

Scott Palguatta got called up to the New England Revolution.

The Rochester Rhinos announced that former Rhinos player Darren Tilley has been named the head coach of the USL-1 club. Tilley becomes the third coach in the 13-year history of the organization. Tilley returns to the Rhinos, where he played from 1998 to 2000. He was one of the catalysts in helping the franchise win an USL-1 title (1998) and a US Open Cup championship (1999). [+]

The Rhinos have started their season out 0-2-1. Not really the start that Coach Tilley really wanted considering he is new. They are on a 5 game road streak which is also not the best way to start out the season. They play the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday May 10th. There first home game is on May 17th vs The Charleston Battery.
