don't get me wrong I would love to see soccer and any other pro sport last in Miami but other than the Miami Dolphins it seems that the people there just don't care.

The Miami Heat of the NBA have excellent attendance, the NHL team does fairly well and even the horribly marketed Miami Fusion did average for MLS.

Florida is really bad in caring about baseball, for which the whole state gets a bad rap for.

If this Traffic Sports group correctly markets this new Miami FC team, then it can be very successful.

Actually Traffic Sports is the Brazillian company and Traffic Sports USA is the parent company of Miami FC.
They will probably have Brazillian players, but so far the team has announced, really, nothing.

We are still awaiting where they will even play in 2006.

NEWSMAKERS

Romario to play in USA
FC Miami, an expansion club in America's second-tier league, USL Division 1, has signed Brazilian Romario, who arrives from Vasco da Gama, for which the 40-year-old scored 22 goals during the 2005 Brazilian league championship. Romario was the hero of Brazil's 1994 World Cup-winning team, scoring five goals and earning the Golden Ball MVP award. FC Miami, which is owned by Brazilian soccer promoter Traffic Sports, has also signed Zinho, 38, who, like Romario, started all seven games for Brazil at the 1994 World Cup; Guatemalan international Mario Rodriguez; and Jamaican 1998 World Cup player Onandi Lowe.
