Timbers top Minnesota, Seattle
Thunder end winless streak in Vancouver
Thursday, April 24: Midfielder Shaun Higgins scored his first goal since the 2005 season to lead the Portland Timbers to a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Thunder Thursday night at PGE Park. With the win, the Timbers extend their unbeaten regular-season streak at home to 16 matches.
Friday, April 25: Atlanta downed Montreal for only the third time in 14 meetings with a 3-2 win Friday night while Miami was posting a 2-0 victory in Puerto Rico despite playing a man down.
Saturday, April 26: Minnesota ended a 15-game winless streak in Vancouver with a 1-0 victory over the Whitecaps Saturday. Further south, Portland blanked rival Seattle 2-0. Also, Carolina edged Charleston 1-0.
Sunday, April 27: The Puerto Rico Islanders worked through the rain-drenched conditions to down rival Miami 3-1.

Bermuda, Real Maryland notch big wins
Friday, April 25: A pair of 3-0 scorelines saw Crystal Palace Baltimore blank visiting Pittsburgh and the Charlotte Eagles down rival Richmond.
Saturday, April 26: Bermuda topped Wilmington 2-0 and Real Maryland got its first win 2-0 over Pittsburgh. Cleveland at Harrisburg continues Sunday after a weather postponement.
Sunday, April 27: The Cleveland City Stars played the defending champion City Islanders to a 1-1 draw at Harrisburg in a match continued from Saturday's 41st minute weather postponement.

Friday, May 2: The defending champion Seattle Sounders won their championship rematch with the Silverbacks 2-0 in Atlanta Friday night. Meanwhile, Montreal survived with 10 in the second half for a 1-0 win in Puerto Rico and Charleston downed the visiting Rhinos 2-0.
Sunday, May 4: The Minnesota Thunder posted a 1-0 win at home over Rochester and the Carolina RailHawks nabbed a 1-0 victory in Miami Sunday in USL-1

Friday, May 2: Harrisburg and Cleveland played to another stalemate, 0-0, for the second straight week.
Saturday, May 3: the Pittsburgh Riverhounds brought professional soccer back to the steel city in dramatic fashion, drawing the defending champs, 1-1 in front of 3,000-plus reborn fans. In Wilmington, the Hammerheads fell victim to Charlotte Eagles, who qualified for the US Open Cup with a 3-2 victory that went down to the wire. Western Mass downed Real Maryland, 1-0.
Sunday, May 4: Hours after their parent side locked up a spot in the Championship's EPL promotion playoffs, Crystal Palace Baltimore blanked Richmond 2-0.

Vancouver moves into first in USL-1
Wednesday, May 28: An odd night for the defending champion Seattle Sounders saw them give up an early goal, lose a key defender to a red card and tally an own goal in the first half en route to a 2-1 loss against the RailHawks in North Carolina. Meanwhile, in South Carolina the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps moved to second in the table with a 2-0 win over the Charleston Battery.
Friday, May 30: The Portland Timbers remain unbeaten in Montreal with a 1-0 victory over the Impact. Meanwhile, Seattle scored late for a 1-1 draw in Puerto Rico.
Saturday, May 31: The Vancouver Whitecaps moved into first place with a 1-0 win at Minnesota after an hour-long tornado delay. In Atlanta, the Silverbacks posted a late 1-0 victory over rival Carolina.
Sunday, June 1: The Rochester Rhinos registered their first victory of the campaign Sunday night in a thrilling 2-1 victory over the visiting Portland Timbers. Meanwhile in south Florida, Seattle and Miami played to a scoreless draw.

Nutrilite Canadian Championship opened in Montreal
The Montreal Impact lost 1-0 against the Toronto FC at Saputo Stadium, in the first game of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship, Tuesday, in front of 12,083 spectators. Toronto FC defender Marco Velez scored the lone goal of the match in the 72nd minute after deflecting a 20-meter free kick from midfielder Laurent Robert. Toronto FC goalkeeper Greg Sutton, who played for Montreal from 2001 to 2006, got the shutout, after facing 10 shots. [+]

Saturday, June 7: League-leading Vancouver exploded for its first three-goal game at home in over a year to down rival Portland 3-1, a score matched by Seattle at home against Minnesota and Charleston, who rallied past visiting Montreal.
