Goal.com - Champions League - Chelsea, Ronaldo Win Champions League Awards
Very much expected, besides John Terry ahead of Rio Ferdinand.

Van Der Sar should have won over Cech.

What a joke, United scored the most, conceded the fewest, and didn't lose a single match in last year's CL.
Chelsea came against giants like Olympiakos & Fenerbahce and drew their first leg v Oly and lost to Fenerbahce.
And yet they win 3 of the player awards and United only 1?
VDS was better than Cech throughout, and Rio was better than Terry.
I can accept Lampard winning the midfielder award, although Scholes should have been very close as well.
Still, I'm sure if asked whether the players would prefer these awards or the Champions League they'd choose the latter every time, I take comfort in that.

Terry only won that because he missed the penalty, as simple as that. It was a pity award.

i can see the moans.
But tbh , we were best group team, conceding less ,not losing in the hardest group.
John Terry was one main reason we got to final, come back from 2 big injuries, to get to final we should of won.
Got to remember Chelsea, had very bad season, mainly playing bad with lot of injured players/ half fit players like Cech,Terry,Carvalho,Essien,Ballack,Drogba,Lampard , yea notice they all world class.
who cares, most important was Frank Lampard getitng credit he deserves again. 20 goals in 40 games last year, strikers cry.
"lifts arms for award"

First time we agree about something.
VDS definitely was the best last season, Lampard, Rio and Cristiano.
