90210
Now, I remember watching this show religiously as a teen but now they are bring it back with a whole new cast. And the new slogan is cheesy.... 'They've got our number!'
Can it replicate the same kind of success it did a decade ago? It lasted 10 seasons. But I find it hard watching it even though the trailer looks good.
The Trailer:
The contemporary spin-off program when it premieres with a two-hour special on September 8.
What do you think? HIT OR FLOP!!

FLOP!!!!
I think they will generate some ratings for the first few weeks...but then people will start tuning it out. I was a fan of 90210, Melrose Place back in the day...but, i don't think they can reproduce the same success.
90210 actually dealt with very serious issues, from addictions, teenage pregnancy, sex...this show will only attract the early-late teens.

I saw the new previews and there trying to make it sexier, more provocative.
I don't know, I have an ambivalent attitude towards remakes, especially a classic.

Okay, the verdict. I thought it was sub par (6/10) but it was only the pilot. Pretty much everyone is good-looking, the girls more so. Great to see Brenda & Kelly back. Awkward! Now I hear Dylan will make an appearance in the latter episodes. Once the characters develop I'm sure it'll be interesting.... just odd to see 90210 turn into The O.C of crap.

I watched the first hour of the show by accident as Global didn't show Big Brother.
I thought they moved the storyline way too fast...in less then an hour the main character was involved in so many storylines. I couldn't keep up. Moving to BH, seeing that guy cheat on his gf, get a website made about her, help a girl cheat on an essay, get invited/uninvited to a party, defend her brother in a fight, go to the party....geez. too much of teenybopper show.
I prefer the old reruns...i have a thing for Valerie!!!!

Its the writers fault! They rushed the story lines. The same guys who wrote my fav sitcom 'Freaks & Geeks'. I'm kind've disappointed they let me down.
Valerie?? She's ok! The Naomi girl is a bit of a slut though. Ratings were good, 5 million tuned in and the next episode should be better as the characters develop.

I have to admit, i watched the second episode...wasn't too bad. Funny how the kids made all their friends go to the bowling alley on family night lol. Interesting storyline was to see the blond's chick dad cheat on the wife...and the mother knew all about it. Kelly has a boring storyline. I suspect Dylan is the father of her kid, right?

FR, I have the script for Episodes 7 & 8, I must say, it gets intense. Gabe Sachs (Writer) revised the script and sent it to my friend in L.A.... he must've been rewriting it because of the success.
The girl who plays Adrianna is sexy. The other morenas are too skinny looking.

I may continue to watch the show until hockey comes back...i like the idea of the multicultural family as the main characters. The old 90210 didn't really deal with much racial storylines...i think this one will though...which is good to educate the young teens.

Awful episode! My GF was saying that they need to keep the old cast intact to save the show. Every character is uninteresting, and the writing is insipid.

For all you Brits, 90210 is coming to your television sets.
See the new cast of Beverly Hills 90210 | The Sun |Showbiz|TV
Prepare to get bored! I don't know what all the fuss was, trying to ink a deal. You essentially had two networks fighting for the show.
Is it that popular in the U.K?
