Default Tottenham 2-0 Portsmouth

It's unreal how good Ramos is with match-changing substitutions.

He brought off Lennon, who was poor and kept hitting the ball out for goal kicks, and Dawson, who had been solid but surplus considering Pompey weren't attacking, for Bent and O'Hara, both of whom ended up scoring, with Bent getting the assist for O'Hara's goal as well!

Spurs dominated from start to finish although Pompey had 2 great chances (throughout the whole game, their only chances) with a Davis lob which Robinson tipped over and a Kanu header which was too weak and despite beating the onrushing Robinson, Zokora cleared.

A good game to watch, and a reminder of Darren Bent's ability...

I'm very pleased for Darren Bent, he's had to wait for his chance this season, and he took it today. Good header for the first goal and a great run to set up the second for O'Hara.

It was a good overall performance to limit Portsmouth to just a couple of chances in the whole game. I thought Huddlestone was probably our best player and controlled the midfield, he is really showing signs of being a very good player for us.

Well done to The Special Juande for his substitutions again.

So so game. I've always thought Bent is a good player, hopefully he starts to show it.

Pleased to see Hutton bombing down the flanks more now, he's going to be some player in two years.

Pompy were really average.

Hutton is fantastic. Great buy for us. I think Bent is being smart. He is not getting angry at being on the bench and with Ramos being the tactician he is, Bent should get his chances. A little while ago it was Keane that was coming off the bench and now look him bang in the goals. I think Bent learnt from the Defoe situation that it's best to keep quiet and keep doing his job. He is a great player although we paid a lot of money for him to sit on the bench.

That's true, and you did have a lot of players missing as well. Still, it was a good win for us.
