EPL: Sunderland v Spurs (11.08)
0-0 at the moment (38 mins in). Sunderland should have scored a minute ago but all in all it has been a dull game so far.
Spurs (makeshift) defence is looking a bit crap.

Disappointing start tbh, I think Murphy's attempt has been the only attempt on target so far...
The Spurs defence is shite, especially Gardner and Chimbonda's looking a bit sloppy but Kaboul has been playing really well, he's been one of Spurs' most creative players as well
Spurs need to get their strikers more involved, Sunderland are holding their own but a draw against a top team on the opening day would be a great result for them...

Spurs have had the lions share of possesion and they look more dangerous, but Sunderland are fighting hard.

hmm, I reckon there are gonna be more Berbatov murmurs coming up soon, unhappy with being subbed, looked very lazy and bored in the game...
I can't remember any actual chances (bar the Murphy one) in this game
O and that was another terrible dive from Zokora

What a twist, 94th minute, Chopra the substitute scores, 1-0.
Only 3 mins of ET were allocated but it was only 5 secs over that. Great touch and great finish.
FT: 1-0
The last 5 minutes were great with good saves from Gordon and Fat Paul (the only saves of the game bar the Murphy efffort). lots of attacking in the last 5mins, surprisingly mostly Sunderland. Not sure if it's deserved but o well, great start for the Black Cats and Keano.

Fu*king embarrising, only spurs could do it.
Kaboul impressed me in a very dissapointing and boring match.

Wow. What an end to the game. Draw was the fair result but Spurs should know teams battling at the bottom will be fighting hard in the final few minutes but they went to sleep.
Keano! Keano! There's only one Keano!....
EDIT: considering Robinson had something like 1 clean sheet all last season it isn't surprising that he failed to keep one again. He really is shit.

Yeh Kaboul was quality.
Sunderland's new signings Ethu, McShane were very good. Edwards is going to be a threat.
Thought Stokes was pretty shit.
Jenas was absolutley awful.

He really is, so is Martin Jol, I happy Spurs lost, but I wanted Sunderland to loose, when two long balls don't work maybe he might of learned not to do it another 20 times, how embarrsing.

Spurs have won only 1 of the last 7 opening EPL games, yes they do normally become good after xmas, but they never gonna get top 4 now, loosing to Sunderland.

Man that last minute goal was something, not good for Spurs, if they want todo well and aim for the Top four they need to stop being so leaky at the back, and maintain concerntration.

They will never challenge for the title with there midfield.
Zakora, Jenas, Malbranque are consistently top quality players.
Lennon would of made a difference today.
