But he's so argumentative and a real mercenary. He's a very good RB, but from the little Hutton's played thus far, it looks like he's better, and of course much younger... And Chimbonda at LB shouldn't be a long-term solution, especially not with Bale and Gilberto, Spurs already lack left-footers in the team to stick a RB at LB.

he is tough and does get himself into trouble but I kind of like that about him. I think our team is a bit unaggressive a lot of the time and chimbonda changes that.

Ramos: I'll scour globe for talent
Quote:
Juande Ramos has assured Tottenham fans he will look beyond Spain for signings this summer, with Russians, Italians and Brazilians in his mind.Ramos has been linked with a number of leading players from La Liga following his switch to White Hart Lane last year, but the former Sevilla manager insists he will be looking further afield than just his homeland.
Ramos wants to lead Spurs into the Champions League and is expected to undertake a major overhaul of his playing staff this summer in a bid to fulfil that aim.
And he said: "I will not only concentrate on the Spanish league.
"I like good players from all countries, including Russians, Italians and Brazilians."
Ramos secured silverware just four months into his reign at Spurs as the club claimed the Carling Cup with victory over London rivals Chelsea at Wembley.
And the Spaniard admits he is enjoying his new career in the Premier League, and has been impressed by the home-grown players at his disposal.
He added: "When we came to London we had to change many things, like the way we trained and the way we played.
"The English players give a lot of effort and they are big professionals.
"We have a spectacular game in England. I believe at this moment that the Premier League is the best among all the leagues."

It will be interesting to see who Ramos will sign front of next season. They need at least one defender (maybe two), a left winger and a new number one goalkeeper.

Tottenham are moving for Chelsea defender Tal Ben Haim. The Daily Mail says the controversial Chelsea defender's career at Stamford Bridge is over and Tottenham manager Juande Ramos believes he has landed his man.
Ben Haim, 26, has made just 17 starts for Chelsea since joining the club from Bolton on a free transfer at the end of last season and has been a frustrated onlooker in recent weeks.
Chelsea will allow the Israeli international to leave at the end of the season and he expects to complete a move to White Hart Lane over the summer.

West Brom are interested in Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt. Baggies boss Tony Mowbray has been keeping close tabs on the French Under-18 ace. Spurs signed winger Taarabt, 18, from Lens last summer.

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is ready to use Dimitar Berbatov as bait to land Samuel Eto'o from Barcelona.
The London Evening Standard says Ramos has made Eto'o his No1 target to replace Berbatov up front.
Spurs are already resigned to losing the Bulgarian international, with Ramos expecting him to join Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Tottenham are hoping to receive around £25million for his services, but are considering negotiating a deal with Barcelona to take Eto'o in exchange.
Both players have two years left on their contracts and have signalled their desire to leave their respective clubs, although the Cameroon international has since denied it.

hmmm... same age and both great for club and country but Berbs has worked so well for us and he doesn't have the same issues/trouble as Eto'o has shown at times. If it were a choice I'd stick with Berbs. You never know if a player is going to work out or not and Dimitar is a class act and dictates the pace of the game so well for us but if he has to go then he has to go. I also give Eto'o a slight edge is being lethal/deadly in front of goal. Berbs does so much and somehow scores a lot but he doesn't have that same killer instinct that Eto'o does imo. Wouldn't complain if this happened but I hate the thought of Berbs leaving.
