Danny Rose signs for Spurs

Leeds starlet Danny Rose has signed for Tottenham after the two clubs agreed a compensation package for the midfielder.The 17-year-old England youth international gave the League One side notice of his intention to resign from his scholarship at Elland Road earlier this month and was believed to be in talks with a number of Premier League clubs.

Tottenham won the race for Rose's signature after agreeing to pay Leeds an undisclosed fee, which sees the youngster follow in the footsteps of Spurs' England duo Paul Robinson and Aaron Lennon, who graduated from the United academy.

In August last year Leeds chairman Ken Bates reported his former club Chelsea to the Football Association, Premier League and FIFA over an alleged illegal approach for Rose, Tom Taiwo and Michael Woods.

The two clubs agreed an out-of-court settlement after Taiwo and Woods opted to join the London club, with Doncaster-born Rose choosing to remain at Leeds.

Rose failed to make a senior appearance for the Yorkshire club, but was named as a substitute in the Carling Cup clash against Chester last season.

Very good prospect I heard, will benefit alot more going to Psurs than he would going to one of the top 4, he will be given a better chance.
