Tottenham have been told new signing Adel Taarabt is regarded as the new Zinedine Zidane in France.
The teenage midfielder has joined Spurs in a permanent move from Auxerre after dazzling in a couple of appearances against West Ham and chelsea while on loan last season.
And his agent Rudy Raba believes the impressive youngster will become a household name during his stint at White Hart Lane.
"In France it is simple, he is considered as the new Zidane," Raba told BBC Sport.
"He is exceptional, he is one of the most talented young players in France, perhaps the most.
"Adel wants to work and succeed with Tottenham. He wants to play and for that he has to do well at training and convince the manager.
"He has a good mentality - he knows that he has to work to succeed even if he has the quality."
that's very interesting.. I feel tottenham are good for him, he can become their hero in some years..
as you may have noticed, I like comparing a player to another, and zidane is one player I realy appreciate, so I'll be following this guy.
"Hailed as the new" must be most over used sentence in football reports.
He could be a good player, show signs of good ability in spurs 1-0 defeat to us last season.
