Striker to snub Blues Switch
Quote:
Striker to snub Blues switch
Chelsea have been rocked by the news Dimitar Berbatov is ready to commit his future to Tottenham by penning a bumper new deal.
The Bulgarian has been a revelation since arriving at White Hart Lane last summer and that has kicked off constant speculation suggesting that a move could be on the cards this summer.
The Blues and Manchester United have both been linked with multi-million pound bids for the striker but according to reports he is ready to snub such interest and pledge his future to Spurs.
Tottenham have been boosted by the news that Robbie Keane has just penned a new five-year deal with the club and it looks as though Berbatov will follow in the next couple of weeks.
Jose Mourinho is keen to draft in another top quality striker this summer and is now likely to turn his attentions to Valencia hotshot David Villa who is valued at £22million.

Nah he's staying, very respectable decision as he seems to be choosing the team who stuck their necks out and took a risk in signing him, although it's very disappointing from a United fan's point of view.
The EPL next year should be very interesting, Everton, Spurs & Newcastle are all strengthening, while Liverpool apparently have some money and Chelsea aren't going to dominate the market. The top of the table may be more competitive next year.

exactly right. Dimitar is a class act and he has such a good thing going at Spurs. Too many guys have let the success get to their heads and ended up not fitting in to another system and throwing away everything they had. He is having fun, scoring goals, making goals and is an idol at the Lane now so the only thing missing is that he's not playing for a team that's actually winning anything but with some of the moves we're making he may get to taste some success soon.
