Berbatov is settling
Quote:
Tottenham head coach Martin Jol believes Dimitar Berbatov is adapting well to life in England.
The Bulgaria international was a costly purchase from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and had a slow start in the Premiership with one goal in his first five league appearances.
However, the 25-year-old has four in his last four outings, including a fine brace in Spurs' 5-1 thrashing of lowly Charlton on Saturday.
Jol knows it can sometimes take a foreign import up to six months to adapt to life in England, but thinks Berbatov's form demonstrates his happiness in his new surroundings.
"Berbatov is settling in well," said Jol. "We are delighted with his form.
"Normally, a foreign player takes, four, five or six months and I'm still convinced it's not easy for him and other foreign players.
"If he scores 20 goals we'll be happy with him. He's scored nine so we're all pleased.
"I still feel we have more talent in the squad now. Last year we looked more settled and had more English players."

He was named the best striker in the Bundesliga for 2 years in a row, ahead of player like Pizarro, Kuranyi, Makaay or Podolski, so he's class

Some players can't adapt to other leagues.
Dimitar is proving he is a great striker.

Berbatov is a great player and has already proved himself to Spurs fans by doing that stuff in the Uefa Cup and is now finally scoring like he should in the Premiership. Definately a class player and could end up leaving Spurs in a couple of seasons if they don't fulfill their potential.
