Still seeking a new stadium

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has confirmed that a possible ground move remains on the North London club's agenda.

Spurs have long sought to increase their financial muscle by pulling in more crowds and are keen to either increase capacity at White Hart Lane or move to a new site.

Tottenham's current abode holds just over 36,000 people and the club saw historic enemies Arsenal move into the 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium over the summer.

West Ham are in talks to move into the Olympic Stadium after the conclusion of the 2012 games, and Spurs are also looking to upgrade their facilities in order to keep pace with their capital rivals.

However, Levy has warned that they must do so without compromising their financial situation or investment in the playing staff.

"I am conscious of the need, and it would be remiss of the board to do otherwise, for this to be achieved without a negative impact on our financial stability, without affecting our ability to invest in the first team or our desire to bring the academy project to fruition," Levy told the club's official website.

He added: "Our priority is to challenge for honours on a consistent basis - and I believe that we have gained ground on achieving that goal."

Spurs ruled out a move to the Olympic Stadium in October due to concerns over what effect a running track would have on match-day atmosphere.

The club have also confirmed they are appealing after having their application to move their training facilities to Enfield rejected.
