Default Curtis Davies bid rejected

Quote:
West Bromwich Albion defender Curtis Davies insists he will not 'sulk or scream' if his club refuse to sanction a transfer window move to the Premiership.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is thought to have already rejected a £5million bid from Tottenham this month for a player who also interests Aston Villa.

But Davies signed a new four-year Hawthorns deal only last summer and the player is committed to the club, despite the speculation surrounding his future.

"I'm under the impression that I'm not being sold - and that's what I was told when I signed my new contract," said Davies.

"Now the transfer window has come around, I keep getting asked 'what will happen?' I always say it's out of my hands and I'm not going to sulk and scream and shout about it if I don't get a move.

"If the club accepts a bid, I'll worry about it then. I'm the captain here, proud of that honour, and I'll get on with my game.

"There will be some sort of transition this month, with one player coming in already (Robert Koren) and one going (Nigel Quashie).

"The squad we've got is good enough to go up to the Premiership and we don't want to lose too many players."

Davies is hoping to be back sooner than expected after X-rays revealed no serious damage to the foot he injured in Friday's win over Luton.

"I've had an X-ray and there's no serious damage, just a bit of bruising in fact," added Davies.

"I think giving it a bit of rest will sort it out which is a relief."

cutis davies does not want to move this summer...

he wants to repay the baggies for their faith in him and will stay at the very least, til the summer...

unless the club want to sell him that is....

however, he will NOT move to tottenham...

he hates tottenham..

or so im told...
