Cardiff v Spurs (FAC)
Quote:
Cardiff play host to Tottenham live on Sky Sports 1 in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Championship side will be aiming to cause a shock by dumping out Martin Jol's side at the first hurdle.
Cardiff have hit a slump in form recently, but they will be buoyed by the fact that Spurs have only won away from home once in the Premiership this term.
Tottenham make the trip to Wales without key duo Ledley King and Robbie Keane because of injury.
Calum Davenport is likely to continue in defence alongside Michael Dawson, while Jermain Defoe and Dimitar Berbatov are expected to spearhead the attack.
Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly is set to miss out after picking up a nasty head injury against Portsmouth on New Year's Day.
Danny Murphy is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after impressing as a substitute at Fratton Park.
Cardiff boss Dave Jones could make a few changes to his side as he looks to end their disappointing run of form.
Willo Flood is doubtful with a leg injury, but he will be given to the last minute to prove his fitness.

Should be an easy win for Spurs.Spurs have play well recently despite they only have received one point the last couple of matches.

Yeah, I agree with TAL. This is the one where Spurs show their quality again and get a good result.

Well the only competition we seem to be struggling in is the Premiership so this should be a win for us especially if:
- Lennon plays
- Berbatov and Defoe start
- Ghally doesn't seen the light of day :P
Any news on where I can watch this game as Gooners V Reds is on down under apparently.

Never said they were mate if any side knows not to disrespect an opposing "smaller" team it's Tottenham, they seem to be the sides we lose to when it counts.

That's very true. We have lost so many games to smaller teams and at the end of games that we take nobody for granted anymore.

Berbatov is fantastic, his first touch, vision and aerial ability is outstanding.
I really like the look of Huddlestone as well, even if he does look like that mechanic from Corrie...

Yeah mate, I agree with you. He is absolutely amazing and is way more than just a finisher. Him and Defoe link up really well too and I hope to see a lot of the two of them in the future. There was a great back-heel early in today's game which was a classic example of how these two are so often on the same page.

Good first half for Cardiff. Scoreless at the half.

0 - 0 full time. Full credit to Cardiff who played a good game. Replay will be at the Lane which will give Spurs more of an advantage, but will also hammer their schedule. Lennon was back on the field late in the game which is good news for Tottenham fans.
