Spurs signs Dag Alexander Olsen
Quote:
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms to sign young Norwegian striker Dag Alexander Olsen, subject to a medical.
Only recently turned 17, Alex joins us from Norwegian second division side SK Gjovik Lyn.
Sporting Director Damien Comolli said: “Alex is a talented player, very, very quick and has an impressive goalscoring record in what is his first season in the first team at Gjovik Lyn.
“He came here for a week’s trial and impressed both our Academy and senior staff and we are delighted to sign him for our Academy and development squads.
“Alex had offers from many top clubs both in England and across Europe but he showed a real desire to play for Spurs.”

Sounds like an interesting signing. I often get worried when it's such a young guy coming from a low division and not having played in England, but the upside is so great it's important to take the chance. I'm excited to see what he can do.

There is any risk of signing such young player. His not an expensive investment by Spurs. If he never will be good enough he will never be taken into the first team anyway.

Yes, you're right. It's exciting anyway with the young guys because you never know he might be unbelievable. Spurs have a lot of good players these days so hopefully their premiership season will pick up.
