Default Spurs v Portsmouth

Quote:
Redknapp will take control of the team for the first time in his second spell in charge at Fratton Park just a year after walking out and joining rivals Southampton.

Pompey are currently languishing second from bottom and Redknapp will hope he can start a revival at White Hart Lane.

The two teams go into the game in contrasting form with Spurs having won their last two games and Portsmouth losing their last four outings.

Redknapp has recalled Vincent Pericard from his loan spell at Sheffield United and he could be involved against Spurs.

Richard Hughes and Gregory Vignal are both available for Redknapp after returning to full fitness.

Laurent Robert is expected to be recalled to the starting line-up as Redknapp gives him a chance to prove he deserves a regular run in the side.

Tottenham have a doubt over Jermain Defoe as they prepare to welcome Portsmouth to North London.

Defoe is struggling with a hamstring problem and even if he is passed fit he is unlikely to start with Robbie Keane and Mido set to continue in attack.

It's gonna be tougher beating Pompey with Redknapp in charge. But I think Spurs will walk away with the points though, especially what with being at home. They have lost once at The Lane (to Chelsea).

spurs deserved it but the penalty really wasnt a penalty...uriah rennie is, imo, only allowed in the top flight as a token gesture towards racial equality....he is the worst ref in my lifetime, other than perhaps anders frisk.

Spurs were dominating but Pompey held out well, penalty wasn't really one but Spurs had a couple of die hards turned down earlier so it evens out..
