Question Mido: Tottenham want to keep me

Quote:
Egyptian striker Mido admits he wants a permanent deal with Tottenham.
On-loan from AS Roma, Mido told Egyptianplayers.com: "Tottenham want to sign me permanently.

"Martin Jol is willing to make an offer to Roma.

"I can sign permanently for Spurs as I have a clause on my loan contract which gives Tottenham the right to sign me on a permanent basis for a fee worth €4.5 million."

How is he doing? An update?

He didn't blaze off the mark with a bundle of goals and only until recently I could take him or leave him, especially after getting a careless Red card against Chelsea.

BUT, he has now found his way into the hearts of us Spurs fans as he's proving to be vital. OK, he's not one of many goals, but his workrate, effort and class are Spurs all-over and with him alongside Defoe or Keane we are very good up front!

Welcome Mido and Jol/Levi, get the cheque book out cos this lads got to stay (sort it in Jan' I hope)

mido is a young and very talented striker.

certainly him and defoe could be one of the best partnerships in europe.

as could davids and carrick....king and dawson....stalteri and lennon.

Hes great at setting up Defoe or Keane. Always gets a head to the ball from Robinsons goal kicks!

We've made some very shrude signings in the last year and snapping up Mido seems like one of the best. Stalteri seems another good freebe, Tainio is very good, Davids we all know about...

Signing of the season for me at this time is Lennon, £1.5 million well spent there!!!

indeed.

mido and rasiak are vital to your system which utilises cross field knock downs.

Stalteri cost us, not a freebe, it was an undisclosed fee, reckoned to be about 750k.

I think we will go all out to sign Mido permamently, so far his bad reputation has not surfaced in our dressing room, and on the pitch he seems to be avery usefull oposite of Defoe and Keane, i do still feel that we need a 20 goal a season striker, but without 20 mill + they are hard to come by. But Mido and Defoe have formed a good partnership, as did Mido and Keane in pre season, Rasiak is also a usefull back up striker.
