Check it out on the Internet.

I said from the beginning that there's more to the Arnesen situation than meets the eye. MVB is involved apparently. Can't say much more than that as I'll look a tw@t if I'm wrong.

Look the Standard up on the web.

I think i will just wait and see tbh.

And i am getting bored of all this Arnesen bollocks, its time it was resolved one way or the other, for the good of our coming season.

more rumours about it all today.

Geremi + 500k

5m compensation package with some clauses to be kept confidential etc. etc.

ok. Here's what I was referring to, and what the Standard will sooner or later be publishing:

There WAS in fact a very large bust-up between Arnesen and Levy regarding the signing of MVB. It wasn't just about Chelsea's offer, although they made it just after becoming aware of the disagreement between the top two men at Spurs, which would add wait to the "tapping up" accusations.

Told you because I myself am running out of patience with the whole thing as well tbh.

Maybe, but what is fact is Chelsea still made an illegal approach to sign Arnesen, after the big money move on offer Arnesen has decided to make that move and that has left us all in this situation. Its still 90% Chelsea's fault.

Whatever though, lets all hope this mess is sorted soon, Levy has to do what is best for our club (Tottenham) so Chelsea fans should not expect us to be in anyway sympathetic or lenient, we will hopefully screw you for all your worth, weather its player +cash or just plain old cash compo...

Joint Press Statement - Tottenham Hotspur FC and Chelsea FC
24 Jun 2005

[London, Friday 24 June 2005] Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Chelsea Football Club today announced that they have reached agreement in principle regarding Frank Arnesen. Formal documentation is to be signed by 30 June 2005.

The terms are confidential and will not be disclosed.

Ends

Not sure why they wont reveal the terms or package. I think that we/Levy have handled this badly, it seems as though we have been payed to keep quiete
, fair enough but atleast let us fan know all about it. It smells of a dodgy deal and we all might end up being investigated because of it.

Well Chelsea ltd seem to disagree with you, as they have payed up now it seems, and in doing so have avoided us making an official approach to the FA, so clearly you did make an unnoficial approach.

In fairness, to a degree, this IS dirty cash. We do not occupy the "moral high ground", as Levy would seem to suggest. We have systematically set out to blackmail Chelsea over a breach of rules and have come out successful, it would appear. Still it does leave a bitter taste in my mouth as, regardless of Chelsea's shady role in the whole affair, it makes us look like a ten dollar whore.

Agreed this is dirty money, and i would much rather us gone and made an official complaint, its what Chelsea deserved. Now both clubs are again a laughing stock, and both clubs will have our names dragged through the mud.

i dont dispute we made an illegal approach...although it was illegal to the point of spitting on the street is....however you seem to be thinking we were always going to get him for free....there was always going to be a transfer fee...levy just tried to use this looming 'sword of fa damocles' to increase the bid.
